A Fadango is a traditional celebration in Vera Cruz, México where people gather in a circle and sing and play Jaranas. In the middle of the circle one or two people dance. The celebration lends itself well to the border friendship location because we form a circle and sing back and forth and people dance face to face through the fence. Last year this was one of the most attended events. Hundreds gathered around the fence as people sang, danced, and finished by reciting "Décimos" for hours on end. Come join us again in 2009! |
